Marina & Reinaldo Destination Wedding

“To know that I hold the power to visually create stories that are full of life, emotion, imagination and human connection, is the most rewarding feeling.” This is our bride Marina Toybina, costume designer incredibly talented originally from Russia and now based in Los Angeles. TV shows, film, and tour concerts are part of her every day, so to be part of the most important day of her life was such an honor.

Reinaldo Caetano, our groom, originally from Brazil moved to Los Angeles in pursuit of his career and now is a recognized soccer coach and personal trainer, just the perfect balance between Marina & Reinaldo, together they are pure magic.

Marina & Reinaldo chose one the best locations to bring their closest family and friends from Los Angeles, Brazil, and even Russia, they chose the beautiful island of Cozumel for their destination wedding in Mexico.

A wedding in Cozumel means gorgeous sandy beaches, unforgettable sunsets, authentic Mexican culture and memories that will last a lifetime, here both Marina & Reinaldo left their busy lives in Hollywood and change them for the feeling of calm and serenity while they overhear the waves from their room in the gorgeous Villas at The Cozumel Country Club Estates where they held their unique wedding. Here is our selection to tell their story:

We started a full day wedding coverage at noon with bridesmaids, mothers, and friends getting ready, makeup and hair artists from Halo Salon/Micaela Soto took place to beautify all the ladies. Marina and her sisters, as she called her bridesmaids, all work in beauty, design, and style, they were just in their element. Marina, of course, designed her wedding dresses, yes, 3 amazing dresses that she wore along the night.

The ceremony was memorable, full of laughter and emotions, they honored their beloved friends and family with hundreds of butterflies, a very meaningful moment for the couple.

Totally uninhibited reception with guests all over the world, an all-out dance party started right after dinner and didn’t stop until the DJ had to unplug.

Destination weddings on the beach offer a sense of adventure to the couple and their guests and believe me it was a total adventure for them and a perfect vacation spot. The wedding hashtag is #15moreRM meaning 15 more shots of tequila Reinaldo & Marina! This phrase was heard lots of times during their week in paradise.

The wedding had perfectly planned events crafted by Cozumel Wedding Planner, the amazing team who gathered great vendors such as Kraftic for decorations, Guidos Restaurant for the delicious dinner and an endless supply of tequila, The Coffee Cozumel for sweet treats and thankfully a coffee bar, all the staff behind the scenes made a memorable evening for the couple and their guests.

We were able to meet Marina & Reinaldo a day before to do portraits on the beach, we did a Cozumel Tour Session stopping in different spots around the island meeting new friends such as iguanas, birds and get to taste local flavors as coconut water straight from the palm tree.

All in all, it was a completely unforgettable weekend, and we’re so grateful for the opportunity to photograph such a bright and beautiful couple in the beginning of the rest of their lives.
